The US printing uses sequential collation with 10 × 11 sheets. Packs are ordered commons, then uncommons, and the rare. If a foil card appears, it will appear as the last card in the pack after the rare (if any), displacing a card of the same rarity*. This means, for example, a foil rare will replace the regular rare.
| 11 Commons | 3 Uncommons | 1 Rare |
Tournament packs have 30 basic lands, 3 rares, 10 uncommons, 32 commons (in this order). Observed decks have lands followed by rares, uncommons, and commons. There is a rules insert between the lands and the rares. Observed packs had an outer seal, and an inner seal. Most packs have a foil as the first card, before the lands, displacing a card of the same rarity. There are also tournament packs in reverse order, beginning with the commons and ending with the lands (and foil where present).
| 30 Basics | Rules Insert | 3 Rares | 10 Uncommons | 32 Commons |
| 32 Commons | 10 Uncommons | 3 Rares | Rules Insert | 30 Basics |
There are four common runs. Two, A and B, have 30 cards (each twice) and two, C and D, have 25 cards (again, each twice). In booster packs, the A and C runs are appended together to form one long card run, AC, but in tournament packs, these are two separate runs. Each booster has 5-6 AC cards followed by 3 B cards and 2-3 D cards. Foil commons will displace a B or D card. Foil basic lands will displace an AC card.
| AC | AC | AC | AC | AC | AC | B | B | B | D | D |
| AC | AC | AC | AC | AC | B | B | B | D | D | D |
In tournament packs, commons appear in D-C-A-B order (or B-A-C-D order in tournament packs with the commons first). Packs will be either 7+7+9+9 or 8+8+8+8. Foils can probably replace cards from any run.
There are four uncommon runs, α, β, γ, and δ, each with 22 cards printed five times. Booster packs have 1 card from each of three of those runs. The order may vary between boxes, but all boosters in the same box will have the same uncommons in the same order.
In tournament packs, uncommons appear in δ-γ-β-α order (or α-β-γ-δ order in tournament packs with the commons first). Packs will be either 2+3+2+3 or 3+2+3+2. Foils can probably replace cards from any run.
The AC common run contains 55 cards each printed twice. Run A is in WUBRG order with non-mono cards substituting for half the WBG green cards. Run C is in WUBGRWUBRG order, with hybrid/dual-colour cards substiting for 2/5 of the WBG cards. The choice of the first card is accurate.
The B common run contains 30 cards each printed twice, in WUBRG order with hybrid/dual-colour substituting for 1/3 cards (evenly distributed across the colours).
The D common run contains 25 cards each printed twice, in WUBRG order with non-mono cards substiting for 3/5 of the cards.
The α uncommon run contains 22 cards, each printed five times, in WUBRG order with non-mono cards substituting for 7/22 cards. This run hasn't been fully calculated. Shown is a fragment of the run with a single copy of each card.
The β uncommon run contains 22 cards, each printed five times, in WUBRG order with non-mono cards substituting for 9/22 cards. This run hasn't been fully calculated. Shown is a fragment of the run with a single copy of each card.
The γ uncommon run contains 22 cards, each printed five times, in WUBRG order with non-mono cards substituting for 4/11 cards. This run hasn't been fully calculated. Shown is a fragment of the run with a single copy of each card.
The δ uncommon run contains 22 cards, each printed five times, in WUBRG order with non-mono cards substituting for 4/11 cards. This run hasn't been fully calculated. Shown is a fragment of the run with a single copy of each card.
