Note the above is a window to the Odyssey - The Collation Project
When talking about US tournament decks, the second last sentance reads:
The A and B commons can appear in either order, and the split will 9-9 (for 18) or 8-8 (for 16).
I believe that it should read:
In the C and D section, the split will be 9-9 (for 18) or 8-8 (for 16).
WoTC could have maximised variance and achieved 100% packs with all five common colours with their existing print sheets if they had instead used the following structure for collating commons.
| A | A | A | A | A | B | B | C | C | D | D | 1/3 of packs |
| A | B | B | B | C | C | C | C | C | D | D | 1/4 of packs |
| A | B | B | B | C | C | D | D | D | D | D | 1/4 of packs |
| A | A | B | B | C | C | D | D | D | D | D | 1/12 of packs |
| A | A | B | B | C | C | C | C | C | D | D | 1/12 of packs |
Alert - this is not how the real packets are, just what I thought they should have done.
